Writings of Member Pastors

This rainbow is a symbol of a covenant that God has made with all of creation. It is God's promise that with every hardship there will come ease. There will be calm and peace at the end of your spiritual and personal storms. We have to open our minds and hearts to see God's rainbows whenever and however they appear. They are our "guardian angels" that lead us to safety and security in this life and beyond.

On this page, you will find an archive of the personal writings of our member pastors that reflect their past and present religious experiences and knowledge. We intend to embellish this page with poetry, sermons, religious discourses, and so much more. Use this page as a spiritual tool. Allow our writings to serve as a teacher and guide, but remember we are only here to inspire you. First and foremost, we respect your right to form your own ideas concerning faith and spirituality.

  • Rev. MAURISA bROWN-LATHAM (Senior Pastor)
resident pastor & Founder of Unitarian Ministries

I view spirituality as a process, an unfoldment, and journey that one might take in order to find God and one's higher self. I have traveled many roads in search of truth, redemption, enlightenment, and salvation. As a result, I am a blended human being. I was once a Catholic and a Muslim. I have seen and practiced faith from many dimensions and angles, from orthodoxy to mysticism. As a Unitarian Christian, I honor my past and stand firm upon my present. I see all of my encounters with Divine Reality as stepping stones and teachers. Consequently, my writings reveal my life and lessons learned as a Catholic and Muslim. Likewise, I discuss my faith as a Unitarian Christian and follower of Rabbi Jesus. Furthermore, I use my seminary education in Interfaith to acquaint people with the many teachings and spiritual disciplines found in the world's religions.
